Why we require certain information
We will request certain information and documentation from you to enable us to comply with Isle of Man legislation and regulations including Anti-Money Laundering and Countering of Terrorist Financing (“AML and CFT”), Automatic Exchange of Information with other jurisdictions as well as other applicable Isle of Man legislation.
What information is required
This could include your personal details, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, place of birth, date of birth, identification documentation and proof of your residential address.
We may also require your financial details such as bank details, national insurance number or tax identification number. In order to comply with AML and CFT regulations we may also require information and supporting documentation on your source of funds and source of wealth.
We may also use third party sources to acquire personal data, including social media, sanctions screening lists, LexisNexis and other internet sources.
How we use your information
Your data may be used for administration, internal monitoring and compliance with applicable laws, including the prevention of terrorism and anti-money laundering.
Who we share your information with
We do not share your personal data with any third party outside of PCS, without your consent, except to the extent required by law or regulation.
Where your information is held
All paper records are held at our registered office address, Murdoch Chambers, South Quay, Douglas, IM1 5AS, Isle of Man. Some historical records are archived off site at a secure storage location.
Electronic records are held on individual workstations at the registered office address and, as a business contingency procedure, a back-up of electronic data is also stored offsite. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
Access to information
You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, for which we may charge a small fee. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to PCS Limited, Murdoch Chambers, South Quay, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 5AS.
If you believe that any information we hold on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to us as soon as possible at the above address or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect. You also have the right to have information erased.
We will hold your information for the period prescribed by the relevant legislation. This will vary depending on the type of information held and the lawful basis on which we hold such information. We are committed to no longer holding data once we are no longer legally obliged to. If you would like further details in this regard please contact us.
You have a right to lodge a complaint which should be made, in the first instance, to PCS Limited. If this is not dealt with to your satisfaction you may make a complaint directly to the Information Commissioner, PO Box 69, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM99 1EQ.
